Congratulations Umar: Our B.A. Calendar Artist!

It was my pleasure to attend the Board of Education meeting tonight to celebrate our Brunswick Acres 2012-2013 "Calendar Artist", Umar! 

Umar created this work of art last spring and it was featured in the South Brunswick District Art Gallery.  Students were asked to draw fish and include a word that a fish might say to humans who may mistreat their environment.  This piece was printed on our district calendar and distributed throughout South Brunswick.

S.B. District Art Gallery 2012

The District Art Gallery was a tremendous success! People from our community arrived in droves to admire the artwork on display.  Mr. Desai and Mrs. Dubois were there to show their support along with our Superintendent, Dr. McCartney and Joanne Kerekes, our Assistant Superintendent.  Teachers, families and friends had so many positive comments to share regarding the talent in our school and district.  It was a pleasure to spend time with B.A. artists and their families while celebrating the artwork in the exhibit.

South Brunswick District Art Gallery: Wednesday, April 11th

Many works of art will be on display created by artists from all South Brunswick Schools at South Brunswick High School on Wednesday, April 11th.  Brunswick Acres students who will have their work featured in this gallery received a personal letter mentioning the title of the artwork that will be on display.  All are welcome to attend this exhibit. Doors open at 6pm and will close at 9pm.
